I am the proud gramma of a beautiful 10-year- old girl named Hailee. Her Pappa and I started this site so she can follow us as we travel throughout different states on our vacations. Now that she is older and we are able to travel the country with her, this will be a site for all of our friends and family to join us on our adventures throughout the USA

DAY 6 NIAGARA FALLS CANADA/USA

Hi All,

Went to Clifton Hill which is an area of many tourist attractions. Went on the 4D movie ride. It was so much fun. We felt like we were driving monster trucks. When we hit the water, water sprayed on us. Then, we rode snow mobiles and it got very cold and it started snowing on us!
We tried to find our way out of a maze and went on another 4D ride about Niagara falls.

We went over to the New York side of the falls. One of the items Hailee asked for was water from both the Canada and New York sides of the falls. Well, getting the water from the Canada side was soooooooooooooooo easy. We just bought a bottle of it in a gift shop. HOWEVER, getting it from the USA side is another story. First of all, they didn't sell it in any shop. We asked if there was any place we could get it and was told no. We were also told that if caught there was a $10,000 fine and 8 years in prison. We were advised to just fill the bottle with tap water and say it was from USA. Of course, I was not happy with THAT answer. We walked over to a little island called Three Sister's Island. We went through the woods and found a little spot where the water was calm and within reach. AND, YES, THAT'S WERE WE GOT THE WATER!!!!

We ate dinner tonight at the Revolving Skylon Tower. The food was amazing (almost as good as Emily's cooking). While we were eating, the tower rotated 360 degrees (one full turn per hour). The view was incredible. We were lucky enough to witness the sunset while we were there.

After dinner, we tried our luck at the Niagara Casino. We made an agreement to only spend $20 each. We played for 1 hour and walked away ahead. We made $1.50 from the exchange
rate of money, we found a dollar on the casino floor and we won $30.10. I also found a cash-out ticket for .2 cents. So, all together we made a net profit of $31.62. What a great night!!!!

After dinner had tea and creme brulee at our hotel lounge while listening to a really good guitar player. Getting late now and going to bed. We leave here tomorrow and head for the last stop on our journey-- Finger Lakes, NY. See you all then.

My love you know I would fly mountains to bail you out...I knew that somehow you'd manage to get that "water". It sounds like I should of been there for this day. What wrong with this picture :-)??? And what are you doing at a hotel lounge??? You better behave yourself...you know you will have to answer a lot of questions when you return :-).

With all my love,
Emily
